He's not joking. And "we" (me and you) have not been threatened. Dustin is
not threatening to go after anyone, just to exercise his right to protect
himself and his family should anyone come after him.

No. He might be mistaken about using force to protect property (like you
can in Texas), but he is well within his right to protect himself and
people with him. Where he lives, armed robbery by crank addicts is quite
common. No jury of his peers would convict him if he said he suspected the
intruder had a hidden weapon. He would not even have to bring up the veiled
threats made against him by others here.

As Mike Myers says, "Monkeys might come flying out of my ass". It's
possible in theory I guess. If were on the space station and happened to
have some baby squirrel monkeys up my ass, then any paw flapping movements
they might make on their way out would be sufficient to attain true flight
in micro-gravity. But nobody should bet too much that this will ever
happen.

You give me the impression of feigned concern.

In the US, gun ownership cannot be taken away unless he has committed a
firearms related offence, or made threats to do other than to exercise his
legal right to protect himself. So far he has not done so. Deal with it.
