BL> why is it that the mail I just picked up by UUCP is later
BL> than the Fido mail I picked up this afternoon? And all the UUCP messages
I only run Unix 8-9+ pm. I am writing my messages at the same time as you
are sending them, and it's not until I've finished writing all my messages
that I run "send-uucp", and then reboot back to OS/2. Hence you
won't get my mail until 8pm the following day. But then, you should still
get that message at 8pm the following day, which is faster than you will
get it via the fido feed.
BL> are addressed to you (scorpio.wanker.com.au), even *my* messages! This
Says who? What evidence do you have to support the claim?
BL> is pretty crook for Tallarook. How the hell cna I make up a personal
BL> mail file if there is no TO: line?
With great difficulty. That's why people who are used to the ways of
fidonet, get their act together and insert an X-Comment-To field in their
messages. I would be surprised if watergate didn't have an option to do
that, I bet Alan + Jeff simply haven't enabled that option. I will
eventually get tin to do that.
BL> I've got a good mind to complain to
BL> the WankerNet Gods and get you suspended for 6 weeks. Who's in charge
BL> around here anyway?
Nobody. The way fidonet was meant to be. Consenting systems exchanging mail.
BL> Alan Mouat is the only one who knows what he's doing.
Maybe after tonight he knows. But he only half-knows, he hasn't set up a
proper UUCP system either.
BL> close it and unzip it! Uni-wanker dickheads!
What's wrong with going to Uni?
BL> And where's AVT? All I'm getting is locsysop and locuser, addressed
BL> to ALL.
Well, it looks like Jeff has turned off the AVT gating until the dupe
problem is sorted out. When you say "addressed to all", what you
really mean is "no specific address", right? The word
"All" shouldn't appear in the messages you get from me.
Everyone who starts an internet system always has their messages addressed
to "All" in the initial stages, whilst they get their act
together.
BFN. Paul.
