What tool better the WPS do you use to check the capacity of a supposedly
blank CD? I have problems here of the WPS retaining information from
previous CDs in the tray, or failure to register what I think is a virgin
CD just placed there.

Put it another way: Take a bunch of certainly good virgin CD's and shuffle
them with what may be coasters you've made. None have labels. What is the
fastest way to correctly sort them by status?
