Don't be too hasty.  A 14.4 may be all the fellow needs, depending on how he 
plans to use the modem.  I connect once a week to a service that uses 300 
bps, and that's totally adequate for the job.  The connection lasts about 3 
seconds. :-)
BTW, I see you've reduced you sig lines in the other echos - perhaps you'd do 
so here as well?  (It seems I'm _everywhere_, doesn't it?) :-)
