I have two previously all-SCSI computers to which I have added
large IDE drives for use as backup devices. One computer runs
Warp 4 and the other runs eCS. In neither case did the
installation go smoothly. The most serious problem was trying
to get LVM to see the hard drives in their proper sequence, but
with a lot of trial and effort, both have worked well for over a
year. I needed one of Dani's drivers, but that was to let the
computer to recognize the large hard drive; I can't speak to
your situation. I will probably be adding a DVD writer to the
eCS machine and will have to rework things again when that
happens.

Cheers/2,
