  I replied in fsxnet, but to recap:

make sure telnet is enabled in /etc/services

also make sure you changed /etc/xinet.d/mbsebbs and under the telnet
section disable = no, and while in there change the server line to
server = /usr/sbin/in.telnetd

That should fix you up.
