They do perform better than typical "wet" batteries, but the price! I'd be
tempted to go with a deep-cycle "wet" battery (and have a couple of them
here) although gels are nice, too...

One thing I can add to that is that this depends a lot on the temperature.
Which is why all those people who came into that store I was running and said
how they'd taken the battery out of their garden tractor and put it in the
warm(er) cellar all got the same look from me... :-)

Sounds like a good use for a train roof to me, they sure don't seem to do
