Too late to get a new brother; but you could have your own different
experience with canon printers different than his. My i560, from the
previous generation, is very fast, handles paper well, and the
cartridges are so, so easy to refill.

L with HP lasers was light,as in light duty. BTW, the first 5-10 years
of HP's reputable HP2-HP5 laser jets, good for 100s of 1000s of pages,
were all on Canon printer engines.

Hi all,
Well,I just got word tha my trusty 4 year old Epson C80 is in need of a
new printhead;probable cost of repair estimated at $250.00 CDN. So I
need som advice here. First of all,laser ptinters are out. Of the
inkjets,in light of my brothers experiance withh Cannon,I dont wanyt
one of them.From recalling previous printer searches from othe people,I
believe that a printer that is Postscript capable will work;however I
also believe that PS inkjets are few and far betwen/.Some models of
Brother and HP ate usable with OS2?ECS using older driver from the omni
pak. I was in the local Sally Ann last wek ater getting my flu shot and
there was an HP 610L there that looked pretty good,but I had no paper
to see of it wpuld print a test [age. What does the L mean? Long
Carriage? It would ptobably go for about $5 or $20 or so. Thamks for
any help/info offered/
