That's a hell of a lot longer (4096 bits) than necessary for a unique ID. A
standard GUID is only 128 bits. Even that is much longer than necessary,
its length chosen to make generation easier. 32 bits have about four
billion combinations. 128 bits have about sixteen billion billion billion
billion combinations.
I think most likely, the MP3s that got updated were ones that did not have
MP3 ID3 tag data (artist, song, etc.).
