Hi Don,
Excuse me asking something that has probably been covered before, but
is your system only SCSI and has no EIDE controller ? The Sony DVD
Writer you have is EIDE and is normally attached to an EIDE controller.
CDRecord originally worked (I think) only with SCSI drives but nowadays
99% of the time it is used with EIDE Drives (using OS2ASPI allows ATAPI
- EIDE drives to look like SCSI drives).
Also you should be using CDRecord to record CD-R's but DVDDAO to record
DVD-R's. Similar program, from the same author I think.
