The (very) surprising part is the "IBM" vendor thing. We know IBM ceased
fabricating harddisks since the 7500 rpm era (already 4 years ago) and
even before all so called IBM harddisks were made by Hitachi. And as a
consequence HD with an IBM sticker on it diverted into bad quality HD
and got rightly bad a reputation.

Now, if we look here:

http://www.seagate.com/support/disc/scsi/st373405lw.html

we can see the right type number is ST-373405lw for that type of Seagate
harddisks.

Further on, I'm not aware of any deal between IBM and Seagate in that
respect. So, alas, it looks like someone has tweaked an Hitachi HD into
a Seagate (or the other way around) in order to have you believed it's
an "IBM" harddisk.

Bottom line: if you see an IBM sticker on a HD, even do't think about it.
