* While chatting with All, Christopher Baker was overheard saying:
CB>ended on the east coast about 90 mins ago on HBO[1].
CB>the lead DA portrayed reminded me very much of the lead
CB>prosecutor on
CB>the Swan case.
CB>there are too many sick people in positions of power.
CB>and history repeats itself. [sigh]
CB>it took 7 years for the McMartin case to close and another 5
CB>years to
CB>get the story out in a coherent form that many will be
CB>exposed to over
CB>time. those who don't read take longer to get the news.
CB>and from the outset, they knew they had no case but were
CB>swept in media
CB>attention and monomania. what a waste.
CB>how long until the Swan case gets to HBO? what the hell is
CB>wrong with
CB>people?
I take it the movie was effective in its portrayal of the facts. I do not
have cable. My big screen TV is a black and white Sony Watchman. I hope
this movie will have a major impact on public opinion, which has reached
change threshhold because so many people have been falsely accused. I am
optomistic that it may even be an issue in the ne national elections.
