Yeah ... some of the craft brews can be excellent. The problem is that (as
someone else pointed out) they don't get far from the brewery or, if they
do, then by the time they get far from the brewery the brewing has been
"dumbed down".
Amstel was brewed in Hamilton -- in theory, using the European recipe, but
I doubt it and think it was modified to local tastes -- and it was a very
nice, well hopped beer. Then, suddenly, it changed -- at about the time it
went into wider distribution.
