Otherwise it will be the first disk. Under Linux the SCSI disk will be a "sda" with partitions "sda1 .... sdan", whereas the IDE will be "hda/hdb/hdc/hdd" depending upon whether attached as master/slave to primary/secondary controller [ignoring SATA channels]. In the case of windoze, I can't offer any suggestions. Although I am a long way behind in reading messages, I didn't notice any further responses in the later unread messages.
