I am experiencing a rather interesting problem with the Squish developer's 
kit.  This has happened before, and the only thing that fixed it was a 
complete rewrite of my application.
The problem is this:  In API_SDM.C, on the line
"(void)memmove(text,newtext, (size_t)(bytes-(dword)(newtext-text)));"
I always get either a Windows 95 "This program has performed an illegal 
operation and will be terminaetd", or, if I run it under Windows NT, an "The 
VDM CPU has encountered an invalid instruction"
Any ideas?  If I remove it altogether, will I not lose some information from 
my messages?  (The comment above that says "Shift back the text buffer to 
counter absence of ^A strings)
I'm going to try reading the control information in a seperate pass as the 
message body, just to see...
