Hi Charles Angelich, hope you are having a nice day

Guess what I'm abt to say? ];>

Actually in '9x the default number of backups is 5 copies where each
is created when the system is (re)booted.

I've the laptop set to keep 8 copies by setting MaxBackupCopies=8
in the /windows/scanreg.ini

The BackupDirectory= line will tell you (and scanreg) where to find
the backups, default is c:\windows\sysbckup which is a hidden dir.
Backups will be named RBxxx.CAB where xxx is a number.

To restore a previous copy boot to the cmdline and run scanreg /restore.
Scanreg will only display 5 of the backups so depending on how far back
you need to go you may have to delete some of them.
