It's easy to mess this up. A simple check is to run cmd (Command Prompt) and enter:

ipconfig /all

Carefully read what it says about the IP address of your DNS server(s).
I've lost track of what your problem was, but Geo is suggesting that you
use a known-good DNS server to see what effect it has.

You can enter the following at command prompt after maknig a change, rather
than rebooting:

ipconfig /flushdns
