I didn't say Palmeiro should win - I said he warrants consideration, which he
isn't getting.

I supported Ripken in 1991 because he had one of the best seasons ever by a
shortstop. Rodriguez has had an even better season this year - he'd get my
vote.
I'd still prefer that MVP be renamed "Player of the Year." How can one
really determine which player is "most valuable" to his team? Without
Griffey batting behind him, would Rodriguez get as many good pitches to hit?
