RB> Those antics of erecting barricades to "slow" down cyclists
RB> ("Bicyclists must walk bike down hill!") make me laugh. We all must
RB> know of some intersection that's dangerous for cars. Could you imagine
RB> the reaction if motorists were forced to *stop* their car, and have to
RB> get out to lift a gate before proceeding just to "make sure" they
RB> really stop "for their own safety"? Ha!
RB> Another part of the same "path" is in front of a General Electric R&D
RB> Center, and Knolls Atomic Facility, crossing the driveways of these
RB> facilities at several spots. Bicyclists on the "path" are directed to
RB> stop for the driveway traffic. I find it easier to drive my bicycle
RB> on the roadway instead, where the driveway traffic has to yield for me,
RB> rather than the other way around.
The idiots that do this sort of thing are trying to do people a
service. The only problem is that they haven't ridden a cycle since
they were 6 years old and have no idea what they are up to. They
are probably Engineers of some sort. Full of Book learning and
absolutely no common sense. Hippy, Dippy, Yippee, Yuppies, I like
to call them
