I wish that was true. However, it is not. There are quite a number of
very poor quality PSUs around. I should know - I've just replaced one.
As a result, I _only_ buy quality units. While I'm not going to spend
huge amounts on a supply, I will spend considerably more than the
bottom of the line units to have some chance of getting something that
works without risk of frying my expensive motherboard, memory or
processor. Buying cheap supplies is simply asking to be made to pay
lots for replacing more expensive components. If you haven't been
bitten by the cheapies, you've been very lucky indeed.
