It can be used on a PC with no problem whatsoever. Set the dip switches on
the back to the default settings (OFF OFF ON OFF ON OFF OFF ON for switches 1
to 8, in that order). Use a standard serial cable between the modem and the
PC.
In terminal mode, the commands AT$, ATS$, ATD$, and AT&$ will display the set
of modem commands. You can also download the docs from the USR web site.
The 28.8 and 33.6 refer to the maximum connect speed of the modem, 33,600bps
in this case.
