  Distance doesn't have anything to do with it, Shane, it's the speed of your 
link.  If your provider has a fast link (56k or faster) distance makes no 
difference.  If he only has a 28.8 or slower, then it's going to take a lot 
longer. I've called sites that were local to me and only got a 9600 transfer 
rate, while I've called to Europe and gotten T1 speeds.  You might check with 
your provider and see if they have a slow link or have to route through a lot 
of different people or if it was the time of day... busy times will affect 
the speed as well.
  By the way, did it every finish or is it still downloading?  ;D
