How did the -18 perform?    Seems to work well here and all my links are 
long-distance.   I am calling from a rural area.   I rarely get 28.8k 
connections.  But I get a fine 28.8k connection to another Supra.

In your case, yes... it may sounds worth trying el-cheapo v.34 and see how it 
compares to the struggling Supra.   If the performance is the same, consider 
how much money have saved.
