I just read on the Internet Usenet newsgroups rec.arts.disney.parks
and alt.disney.disneyland that the run of Main Street Electrical
Parade at Disneyland, originally set to end October 15, has been
extended.  The parade will go on hiatus after October 15 (and three
private parties that same week) to resume November 1-25.  Its last
performances will be the Monday after Thanksgiving weekend.  The
extension is due to what Disneyland spokespeople say is
unprecedented interest in the parade, which has run at Disneyland
for about 24 years.  There have been record-setting crowds at
Disneyland the past several weekends as people try to cram into the
park to see the parade one last time and massive traffic tie-ups on
the Anaheim city streets and freeways leading to Disneyland.
