    Of course, I did not know that these brands were "advertised 
heavily", but the extra cost of advertising may be only a few dollars 
per unit if their volume is sufficiently high.

    Sorry, I don't see why a nominal spec is an important comparator?  I 
would think that the average & variance in outputs plus the mean time 
between failure would be more important indicators.

    Okay, but to get back to my original question, which brand & model 
of used PSUs should a person consider?
