Since when is that illegal?
In any case, the reason that the Sony Qualcomm 1000 is the only phone
that Sprint permits you to use on their PCS network is because it is
the only phone on the market at the present time that WORKS on their
network. No other vendor has put one on the market yet. If another
vendor decides to build one that works on Sprint's network, then you can
get a different phone. What's more, Sprint has added some badly needed
security features to their network to prevent cloning and other forms of
fraud -- real crimes that cost consumers and carrier a bundle. They
aren't going to jettison those security features easily.
For crying out loud, what is it with you and your paranoia about all the
wireless communications companies. You accuse Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile
of ilegal trade practices and bribery, now you jump to conclusions and
accuse Sprint of illegal activity.
