But, that does not make pre-80's AMC stuff a Chrysler product. Right?
Looking through my standard catalog of american cars, it mentions..."a
spherical segment combustion chamber engine in the Desoto chassis. This is
commonly refered to as the Desoto 'Hemi' v-8."
Further on, its a 276.1 cubic incher.
From Street Rodder magazine (feb 1996) "Hemi? Which Hemi?" they mention
Dodges introduction of a hemi in 1963 @ 241 cid.
They also have a raft full of various hemi sizes and original years/apps.
You might want to hunt the street rodders down (january 1996 part 1) The
current newstand issue has the final part.
