about frustrating doctors :
[SB] Call a home hospice program near you, and talk with them about what to
[SB] do to arrange for your mother's death at home. We did this for my
[SB] mother a few months before her death, and we were able to work things
[SB] out so she *did* die at home, with some nursing care under the home
[SB] hospice program. It's still a lot of work, however; the nurse will
[SB] only be there about two hours a day. If you don't know where a home
[SB] hospice program is, call the social worker at the hospital that is
[SB] working with your mother. They will know where one is.
[SB] Of course I'm assuming you live in the US when I say this. I am under
[SB] the impression that Canada doesn't really have much of a home hospice
[SB] program yet.

Hi Sondra,
Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it. We do live in the US infact
we live in a little place called Bellevue, Nebraska which has a lot of good
social programs so, getting the help when the time comes will NOT be a
problem. My beef is with the VA which mom is being treated by as she is
a Veterian and they have so many weird laws that it is not even funny but;
they too are in for a rude awakining because I will se that she gets what she
wishes the right to die with dignity and that is the issue.
got to run so, you take care and God be with you and yours always!
