One othewr addition as it reguards "Over Charging". HEAT is the big
Enemy of Most Rechargabel batteries. Particualrly NiCad's and NaMh
cells. The Better chargers have a cell temperature sensor for for
detecting excessive cell temperatures.
Idealy for those Manual Chargers one shound select a charging time
related to the discharge state. Since this is a bit impractical the best
bet is to always run down the battreries until you getsome sort of a Low
Battery indication.
Then charge them using a timer. I use a cheep plug in timer with the
removable Green/Red On/Off pins. IF you remove the Green pins and just
use a Red one you can set the timer to run say 14 Hours and the red pin
will then shut it off. Without the Green pin it will never turn back on
so you don't have to worry about coming back to unplug the timer.
I though also have a Full Automatic Charger for that can handle an
nember of CElls between 1 and 12 using external cell holders.
