Oh, boy, well there's plenty out there. I'll post some. This could be
pretty fun, actually, if everyone joined in. That is, of course, if
Scott Rhodes let's us ;-)
SVI> I really don't know any Progrock that sounds like that. Am I still

Nope, get out!
CR> The only thing that really matters anyway is the drumming, right

That's a little joke for Scott Rhodes here. We have a long-time
reputation here for being, usually, at opposite ends of musical tastes
and this is especially true where percussion is concerened. Of course,
drums aren't the only instrument that really matters; I'm not THAT
overboard! As much as I love drums, I'll admit that most drum solos are
quite pointless. (Did, I just say that?)
Here's some BAD Prog lyrics. Hopefully others will bring forth more.
Keep in mind, that these don't make me enjoy the music any less -- it's
just lends some humour, intended or not, to what is mostly a quite
serious genre of music:
"Down down at the launching pad/Giant phallus stands erect" -- ELO,
_ELO II_ (1972)
"But how can I go on just singing this song/My car's out of gas again."
-- Steve Hackett, _Please Don't Touch_ (1977)
"Said would I like to taste her/And even crave flavor" -- King Crimson,
Islands (1971)
"We have ways to make you cheer/As long as you're not sick or poor/A
negro or a queer" -- PFM, _L'isola Di Niente_ (1974)
NP: "Chance For A Lifetime" -- Kayak, _Royal Bed Bouncer_
