I used to buy a good deal of AOpen stuff in Australia. Here in the UK,
I've not found it sold as much. Generally good quality - I still have
an AOpen Slot 1 motherboard (purchased in '98) which works, though I've
not used it in a while. At one stage, IBM Aptiva machines were all
based on AOpen motherboards.
They are the same people who make Acer machines and were also
responsible for the Ali chipsets (don't know if they're still in
production, though I've seen mention of Ulmi(?) chipsets which seem to
be a sucessor to the Ali sets.
