I took your advice - and have ordered:
1x Asus A8N-E Athlon™ 64 S939 nVIDIA nForce4 Ultra
1x Asus EAX300SE-TD-128 Radeon X300SE 128MB TV-OUT DVI PCI-E
1x AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ processor
1x Coolermaster eXtreme Power RS-430-PMAR Power Supply: 430W ATX Quiet

Now just have to wait for it all to be delivered :)

Needed a new power supply as the current one only has a 20-pin ATX 
connector.
