I honestly believe that had his Jim Omvig would have been a dynamite
replacement for Dr. Jernigan.  However, he has a nervious condition
called Porfinia which causes the messages from the central nervious
system to get scrambled by the time they reach the brain.  It affects
everything including his ability to read braille.  The thing that I
like about Jim is that he's one of those encouragers who has a subtle
way of bringing people along that you don't know that you are being
mentored.  He's myprimary mentor along with people like Tom Bickford
who has been in the afilliate for 40 years and to an extent Lloyd
Rasmussen was a mentor in that he encouragged me to earn my ham license
and do other things to strengthen my intellectual capabilities. 73- KK3F
