I feel ashamed. So I hauled out another account, this one [1992] has
statistical
breakdown thus-
Average kWH/ day 19 May- 11 Aug 54.1
                        19 Feb- 18 May 31.7
                        12 Aug- 18 Nov 34.5
Since that account, we installed a town gas flued heater in one room and
retired a 2400 watt elec convection room heater. Our cooking and hot water,
are all- electric. No other gas points in the house.
From that I guess our midsummer load was about 29, and our midwinter load 60
kWH/ day. Wanna recheck your bills? I assume Denver gets snow and frosts, and
is not close to the ocean.

This figure is not comparable to anything we might do in another
Jd> house/location however. The living floor of this house is very dark, for
Jd> example; it is 3:30 PM, I have an overhead lamp burning in this room, if
Jd> not, I would not be able to see the keyboard well enough to type.
If you figure your lighting costs, you'll find these are trivial in
omparison
with 1100 kWH/ month. Cheers....ALEC
