I've also seen Sub-C designated as "Cs".  And now that you
mention that "#6" I remember that's what those big ones were.  I
wonder what happened to #1 through #5?

My experience is that those are given as fractions,  like "1/2C"
or "2/3Cs" or similar.  Is this what you were bumping into?

Rectangular packages take up less room for the same amount of volume,  but
probably cost more to produce.  Was that indicated in the prices for these?

I was astounded last night,  while scrapping some parts off boards,  to
pull one item that turned out to be a lithium battery -- roughly the same
diameter as a AA but only about 7/16" long,  and it had tabs welded to
it to mount to the board -- and it still tested good!  This was off a board
that came out of an old terminal that i scrapped that had been sitting in
storage for some years...

Got any particularly good sources of battery info?
