I agree with you competely.  However, it's always better to start out
with assumpitons of similairity: it gives us a point from which we depart.

Having spent too much time with some auite thoroughly screwed up folks,
I am now prepared to accept that there is a huge population of Americans
who are terrified and who displace that fear mindlessly.  There's a lot of
hiddne paranoia, I feel: that's the paranoia that's 'normal' -- worry about
the Iraqis dusting a city with anthrax has replaced the Russians with their
Bomb -- and a lot of siplaced fear that appears in our more perverted 
choices of entertainment.
A few years ago, I thought the idea of social paranoia was ludicrous.
Iv'e changed.

This kinda feeds toward my idea that it's all psychological.
I have a file that suggests that some of it at least is the result of
CIA using citizens for tests and training.
