No reason you should pay that kind of money if you're already using SuSE...

It depends on what you're looking for.  Much of the activity these days
seems to consist of system programs,  utilities,  and languages,  but there
are also some end-user type applications out there.  Have you looked at
freshmeat?  They have a pretty nifty setup,  if you see something of
interest you can get email notifications on it,  when updates come out and
such stuff.
