Phil,
Thanks for the reply. I have a LaserJet 4p, and the text
edit box (WP 6.0 DOS) shows no rotation option, so I installed
a Canon BJ-600 (no driver available for the BJ-610), and the
text edit box still showed no rotation option. Either my HP
LaserJet allows only the landscape and portrait options for
the whole sheet, or my WP version is not like yours, or the
BJ-600 does not allow rotation variations, or...

Ah, yes. I messed with that before putting up the message.
I see only two ways to create a graphic segment of text on
a page with an orientation unlike the segment: use the
equation editor (does not allow all the font and appearance
changed I need for the segment), or create the segment,
scan it in, and rotate it in a graphic box. That may work,
but in the rough-draft-edit-proof-edit (on and on) stage,
this is way too slow, not to mention WP's slow printing of
a graphic that has been modified in WP. All me gripes aside,
this may ultimately be my solution to the problem. I was
hoping for a more efficient way.
