| subject: | cleaning old 78 vinyls ? |
TA>Temps got to 90F and over 70 humitity today, so after TA>yard chores I spent the rest of the day in our naturally TA>air conditioned basement ( Wayne will recognize this as TA>the "celler" in our 1800s home 8-). After transplanting TA>some tomato seedings; fixing a couple chairs and fans; TA>I found a small carton of what appears to be some classic TA>78 vinyl records that has collected some yuck. TA>Several of you all have discussed copying old recordings so TA>I am hopeing you will be able to advise me how to best clean TA>these records before I attempt playing and copying (some TA>other very hot day 8-( please. I would advice using a Very mild solution of soap and water. And then rinsing with Distiled water. I concider REAL distilled better then the DE-Ionized water some for Distiled uses. It is fine for Steam Irons and Lead Acid Batteries but still might leave some residue after drying on the records.. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ This note from El Cajon California USA* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
