Not sure what the OS on a Kindle Fire is - I "assume" it's
Android-ish. I've
got a Fire I bought on a Best-Buy "deal" for $39 but, while it will do
books/magazines and run apps, browsers, etc. I use the e-reader more than I do
the tablet. I is sent you an invite to Book Bub - an email service that finds
discounted/free books in your selected genres. I keep stocked up on free
reading from that service.
