And do the results of those comparative tests come in the box.  And 
who would do that comparison anyway.  PC parts tend to have a very 
short market cycle.  By the time you determined what was the best, it 
would be gone.  I have a couple high end units; sometimes Fry's makes 
them their daily give away.  I have not encountered such info.

You pays your money, and takes your choice.  Far be it from me to tell 
someone else how to spend their money.  However if you are concerned 
with failure, the vendor is the only important factor.  Buy from a big 
box with a service department and good customer service.

I will continue to weigh commodity PC parts heavily on price.
