Som of those likely younger than us would look at these reports on mobo
failures in under three years and say "This is some scary s--t!". 

 I used to read tomshardware mobo reviews and the like, but thought the
trivial performance difference irrelevent to purchase decision compared
to likely longevity. 

Anyone care to correlate price of board, relative to market, and
failure? Assuming the mobo failures were unwelcome, can you reflect and
wish you'd spent more, and perhaps gotten better components built into
the board?

Yes, till about 3 years ago it was all Aopen here. And before
purchasing  the Epox I had Aopen tested, but there were absolutely
unstable (even  with Windy as told my reseller).  I have still 1 Aopen
running for over  4 years now, that's one of the good old times.

So I changed to Epox, and, as you have seen already,  per force /I had 
the Epox replaced by Gigabite mobo./
