I could be wrong, but I've never heard or read of a Canadian municipal
pension scheme that allows retirement with full benefits after 20 years. I
thought they generally followed the classic formula - age plus service
equals 85 or greater for a full pension. One of my buddies is a Toronto
fireman and is visiting me in NYC in early November, so I'll ask him.

BTW this buddy used to be in the IT biz in his 20s, had a decent career
going but he quit ... found it too boring, needed more "action"
... which he certainly has had. He has great stories to share at cocktail
parties.
