To do anything of substance, even if we take the false presumption that it
is manmade warming, we'd all have to live in caves and eat raw meat.

No we don't. The Earth will be just fine thanks. It's time to find another
victim to save. May I suggest looking toward Africa, they need real help
right now, though I guess if we saved them, they'd just start heating up
the Earth with their new found prosperity anyway...
