Patrick, your comments do indeed make sense to me.  My only additional
thought pertains to your view that Dr.  Jernigan "is gradually turning
over the reins."  I don't know how many of the reins remain to be turned
over, if any.  It does seem to me, though, that the time to turn over the
reins was in 1986:  I think Marc would have been a better president early
on if that had happened.  (Either that, or K.J. should have remained in
office--if we allowed it--until he and we deemed Marc able to be the true
chief.)
