But she wasn't in Chechnya. I didn't realize that Moscow was such a
dangerous place. Glad I didn't go there.

Looks like in either first place or second. Lets see though. War in Irag,
War or something close in Algeria. Didn't realize that Russia was like
those two places. Would be interesting to know how many were killed in
Chechnya.

Russia is the third most deadly country for journalists, after Iraq and
Algeria, according to the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists,
which says Politkovskaya was at least the 43rd journalist killed for her
work in Russia since 1993.

Dangerous to be a banker in Russia also.

A top Russian central banker who fought to clean up Russia's murky banking
system died early on Thursday from gunshot wounds after being ambushed by
assassins in what police said was a contract 'hit'.

It is more trying to figure out your fascination. It really is a
mess there, much more then I think people realize.

I don't think you follow "sons of previous Presidents in the
Caucasus" as close as you let on. It is really easy to pigeonhole some
one like President Aliyev, but I am telling you it is a mistake from
observing up close.
