| subject: | Re: Putin silences another critic? |
From: "Phil Payne" > And not a peep out of Phil. If he wants to see all the things that he > claims are happening in the US really happening, just look to Russia. Phil only reassembled and powered on his email system a few minutes ago after a 36-hour trip to Cumbria. What I find amazing (and deeply worrying) is an ongoing trend in American thought that reduces the whole process of justice to a hunch. Not only are you all prepared to pronounce people guilty without trial - you now don't even appear to require an interrogation. This is sick. You go from "Putin don't like the woman" to "strap him on a table" in a heartbeat. Assassinations of journalists are not that uncommon - both Eire and Northern Ireland had famous cases - but one thing that's universal is that journalists don't like their colleagues getting bumped off and they're (taken as a whole) a damned tenacious bunch - it tends to be counterproductive. So just let's wait until at least have a suspect, shall we? --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
