The Chinese have satellites. They also have phased array technology - who
doesn't? Cellphones are easy to listen to - back in the analogue days
(mid-10980s) I drove around with an AR1500 and had hours of good clean fun.
With the digitals you need to do a bit of decryption, but it's not that
challenging - there's open-source code available.
You can pretty much assume anything you say on a cellphone will be heard by
at least five governments.
