I usually buy Asus but since I, like you, wish to eke out a few more
years of AGP, I was disappointed that Asus's truly fine AMD64 mobo had
dropped AGP, so I searched. The search ended when I saw a magazine on the
newstand, confirming other testing, by the "ComputerPowerUser"
folks, who include some extreme heavyweights in the industry in both
hardware ad software, and for my taste I chose the MSI K8N Neo2-Platinum
which had the same basic chipset (nvidia) and features as the Asus mobo. I
love it still after some 6 mos use and abuse but wanted to say that the
Gigabyte was my second choice. It tested quite close in many
"shootouts" to the MSI, with the particular model I wanted edging
out mostly I suppose because of the slightly newer chipset, the nforce 3
ultra. AFAIK both Gigabyte and MSI have been seeking to improve quality in
the past few years so at least the odds are pretty well leaning in your
favor. Incidentally I also read numerous customer feedback letters at
newegg.com

and ewiz.com. They were mixed on both brands but the majority were positive.
Hope this helps some
Jimmy

The AMD64 ROCKS in any case!
