  Of course, it's possible, but your question lacks enough detail so as to be 
pointless. What OS are you running? The answer will be different for DOS vs. 
AmigaDOS vs. OS/2 vs. Win16 vs. Win95 vs. NT vs. ... When you ask about 
playing music, what hardware are you interested in? If you're on a PC, do you 
mean through the speaker, a SoundBlaster, or what?
  Without more detail, no one can begin to point you toward a useful answer.
